MIDDLE OF THE WORLD

 

The Middle City of the World is a land owned by the Pichincha Government, It is located San Antonio area on the City Quito north.

The main attraction in this place is the Middle of the World monument, which aims to highlight the exact location of the Equator or Ecuador line, from which the country takes its name, and also information about highlight Franco-Spanish geodetic mission century XVIII; this researchers group located the approximate site through which the equinoctial line passes.
